Hilton Honors Points will be awarded for eligible transactions. An eligible transaction would be a final payment where a merchant completes the transaction and where we would be required to debit your linked bank account.
In addition to the above, Hilton Honors Points cannot be earned on certain types of transactions. These include but are not limited to:
- Any payment of UK or European taxes, including HMRC, council tax, and any equivalent foreign taxes;
- UK or European rent or mortgage payments;
- Payment of Card fees;
- ATM cash withdrawal;
- Payments in relation to financial products;
- Cash recycling schemes;
- Payment of UK or European school, university or other educational fees;
- Obtaining cash through a transaction which the Cardholder knows will be treated as a purchase of goods and services; and
- Using the Card at a retailer that the Cardholder controls.
We reserve the right to amend this list at any given time, but we will notify Cardholders in advance of any material changes taking effect.
If you receive a refund for a transaction, we will remove the related Hilton Honors Points from your Hilton Honors Points Balance. If the amount we remove from your balance exceeds your current balance then your balance may be placed in a negative state and any future Hilton Honors Points earned will work towards bringing your balance into a positive position.
